Wish Ribbons! This is how the miracle ribbons work. Each ribbon is 47cm/18.5 in, which is the length of the right arm on Christ's statue in Bahia's most famous church, Senhor do Bonfim. The ribbon is tied around the left wrist in three knots, each one signifying a wish. The wishes only come true when the ribbon falls apart by itself - which can take up to two years. AND, you cannot reveal the wishes to anyone. I've decided to bring back the idea of wearing medallions on the ribbon - instead of holy images, I've made small silver charms that represent what you're wishing for.
